GTA V Required Installation, PS Plus and Games With Gold

Good morning folks.

Happy 4th of July week!

I've got an article about GTA V and information on the Playstation Plus and Xbox Live "Games With Gold" game deals for you guys this morning, thank you for joining and let's jump straight into it.

Grand Theft Auto V Will Require Installation
http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/50871/asked-answered-gtav.html

Rockstar in their "Asked  & Answered" blog has confirmed new details about GTA V. One of those being that the game will require a mandatory installation on Xbox 360, on the Playstation 3 however the game will install as soon as you insert the disc into the PS3.

Rockstar states...

"For Xbox 360, Grand Theft Auto V will ship on two discs; Disc 1 will be used for a one-time mandatory install and Disc 2 will be used to play the game, after the install, players will be able to enjoy both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online without any need to switch discs."

"The initial install will require an Xbox 360 Hard Drive or an external 16GB USB flash drive with at least 8GB of free space. If using a USB flash drive it must be at least USB 2.0 with a minimum 15 mb/s speed and formatted for Xbox 360 use. A new USB flash drive is recommended to ensure optimum performance."

Rockstar unfortunately didn't give any word on a next-gen or PC release for GTA V.

Now for those of you who are unaware. Sony has an optional subscription service called "Playstation Plus" which launched on June 29th in 2010, the subscription service was revealed at E3 2010 by Jack Tretton.

At E3 this year Microsoft revealed a similar reward program called "Games with Gold."

"Two free games per month for Xbox Live Gold members."

For you Playstation Plus subscribers you're getting Battlefield 3 for the PS3, Metal Slug XX for the PSP and PS Vita, Jet Set Radio for the PS3, Dokuro for the PS Vita and Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD for the PS3, each title for free.

As of today PS Plus members can get Battlefield 3 for free, other titles mentioned will be made free later in the month.
As for you fellow Xbox Live Gold members.

The free games we have available as of today is Defense Grid: The Awakening and Fable 3.

Now the article concerning the Grand Theft Auto V installation.

I personally do not mind installing the game. I install most of my games anyway, especially games I know I will be playing frequently, games like Bioshock Infinite, Skyrim, Black Ops 2 and Dead Space 3.

I also install any games I rent or borrow so that way load times and glitches don't occur as often.

I know many Playstations fans will mock the 360 version because of the two discs we have to use in order to play the game. So be prepared to read comments about how 'inferior' the 360 is to the PS3.

As for the PS Plus deals and Games with Gold.

I am an Xbox Live Gold member, I am enjoying Fable so far but I was hoping I would get more bang for my buck.

I know Assassin's Creed II and Halo 3 are going to be free later on in the month but I already own AC2 and H3.

When you compare the value of the PS Plus rewards to the value of the Games With Gold rewards. PS Plus is still the winner.

Thank you for reading.

Next review will be on Left 4 Dead, Fable III and Pikmin for the Nintendo Gamecube.

Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Weapon Guide:M-TAR Assault Rifle

Hello everyone, time for my first weapon guide of Black Ops 2. Today we're looking at the starting assault rifle, the M-TAR. History The Micro-Tar is a micro version of the TAR-21 rifle. It's designed to take advantage of a shorter barrel which means decreased recoil but increased accuracy. Designed for special fores units, it is capable of converting to different ammo variants such as the NATO standard 5.56 cartridge and the 9mm submachine gun round. It is also designed to be capable of attaching a Suppressor, as of 2009 a grenade launcher was being designed to attach to the M-TAR, the M-TAR can attach the M203PI grenade launcher. If you're a FPS veteran then you saw this weapon first in Battlefield 3 as part of the Close Quarters DLC, for COD veterans we saw this weapon's bigger brother, the TAR-21 in Modern Warfare 2. I'm warning you now, the M-TAR is not the TAR-21 we saw in Modern Warfare 2. Multiplayer Stats, Attachments and Performance In gam

Retro Gazette Reviews:Batman Returns SNES Review

Hello everyone. Welcome to another one of my Retro Reviews. Today we're going to be looking at a personal favorite of mine from the Super Nintendo era. Batman Returns. Story Music If you can't tell all ready from the intro video above, the music to Batman Returns for the SNES sounds great and does a good job of recreating some of the songs we heard in the film. My personal favorite stage music is from Stage 7 when you enter Arctic World, The Liberation of Gotham track sounds amazing in 16 bit audio. It's strange to review the music in a video game but the audio stands out so much and does an amazing job, again of recreating the films' soundtrack. Presentation The graphics and detail of Batman Returns is very good and ironically is much more colorful than the Tim Burton film. Gotham City, although currently suffering from a clown riot looks fantastic and Konami yet again does a good job of recreating scenes from the film, you see all these backgro

Hello everyone, I hope you've been enjoying my reviews and I'm here to review one of my personal favorites. L.A. Noire. L.A. Noire by Rockstar Games, developed by Team Bondi is a very unique open-world game. L.A. Noire is the total opposite of Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto series, this time you play to bring law to L.A. Let's jump right into L.A. Noire. Story It's the late 1940s' in Los Angeles, historically recorded as the most violent time in LA history. You play as Cole Phelps a "war hero" of WWII and returns to L.A. and still wants to continue to fight the good fight by joining the L.A.P.D. you come in when Cole starts to take the initiative on his duties, he starts off as a regular patrol officer then quickly starts to be known as the L.A.P.D.'s golden boy and quickly becomes an L.A.P.D. detective. The story is told out through the cases you play on when you reach certain police desks in the game, each police desk has it's
