Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Weapon Guides:M27 Assault Rifle Weapon Guide.

Hello everyone, and welcome to another one of my Black Ops 2 weapon guides, today we will be covering the most accurate assault rifle in game.

The M27.

Weapon Design
The M27 IAR or M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle, a magazine fed 5.56mm rifle and is currently in service in the US Marine Corps.

The IAR program was started in 2005 and it's design was based on the H&K 416 rifle.
The rifle platform derives fom the M4 Carbine design and the HK G36 design. A gas operated short stroke piston action with a rotating bolt. The free floating barrel is surrounded by MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails for use with accessories and optics, the simpler gas-piston rifle design reduces the amount of time it takes to resolve malfunctions on the IAR compared with M249 machine gun that is used for many Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalions in the Marine Corps. With the IAR design the Marine Corp is planning to purchase 6,500 rifles to replace a portion of the M249 light machine guns.

Weapon Performance and Stats
In game the M27 is a low damage, low recoil, slow firing, mid-range weapon and is unlocked at Level 31.

The M27 deals 33 damage up close and 22 at range, this translates into a 4 shot kill and a 5 shot kill at distance. The fire rate is slow at 750 RPM, this means low, laser beam like accuracy, the M27 is the successor of the Modern Warfare 2 ACR assault rifle.

At a range of 12 meters you will stay within your 4 shot kill range, any further and up to a distance of 37 meters you will kill your opponents  in 5 shots, however considering how low the damage you have a 50/50 chance of killing your opponent, hopefully it's not a sniper with Toughness or someone with a gun which deals more damage at range.

The reload time is good at 1.95 seconds if there is still rounds in the magazine and 2.57 if the magazine was completely empty. The magazine size is normal for an assault rifle, 30 rounds and 40 rounds with extended clip.

Although it's stats or that of an average rifle, the M27 by far have the cleanest iron sights in game.

Combine the clean irons with the low recoil and you have a Sniper's Bane, much like the ACR from MW2. Much like the ACR almost any attachment you equip on the rifle will suit well and can be adapted for many different play styles.

For our builds we will build 3 different classes for  different advantages in combat.

Sniper's Bane
For this build we will counter sniper positions with the ACOG Scope and FMJ.

Although in past COD games the ACOG scope would increase recoil and increase your aim time, the ACOG scope in Black Ops 2 does not increase aim time nor does it increase recoil, you will be granted a better zoom advantage at range and you will be able to achieve long range and mid-range dominance, aspects of combat which most rifles can not master.

FMJ will increase penetration through walls, if a sniper is behind cover you will be able to penetrate the wall and kill your opponent with the increased penetration damage.

For your secondary, the TAC.45 with Long Barrel will grant you close quarter to mid-range dominance, very reliable when it comes to surprise close quarter engagements.

For your perks.

Lightweight

Toughness

and Engineer

Will allow you to get to long sight-line positions fast, maintain on target if shot at and with the increased penetration will allow you to take out enemy equipment behind cover, which could kill your opponent or make them vulnerable to your team's approach.

Stalker
For this build you will hit your targets from mid and close range without them knowing of your position

Equip the M27 with the Suppressor and the Quickdraw Handle.

With the superb accuracy and quick lock on ability you will be able to hit your opponents without them fighting back, unaware of your position.

For your secondary you should equip the B23R with the Suppressor attachment. Close Quarter engagements will be easy and you can hit enemy positions fast with the rapid fire rate of the B23.

For your perks you will need the Perk 1 Greed Wildcard.

Lightweight paired with Ghost

Fast Hands

and Dexterity.

Jack of All Trades
For this build you will have a jack of all trades build, being able to fight long range opponents, be more then able to take on opponents at long range and have an able back up for Close Quarter engagements.

Equip the M27 with the Quickdraw Handle and Fast Mags attachment.

For your secondary equip the Five-Seven Handgun with the Tactical Knife attachment.

You will need the Perk 2 Greed Wildcard.

Lightweight

Toughness paired with Scavenger

and Dexterity

You will be supplied with enough ammunition to take on every opponent, able to take on opponents at mid-range and long range with a back up weapon capable of dominating close quarter engagements with a rapid fire rate and deadly blade to take on opponents who may surprise you in those CQC situations.

The Verdict

The M27 is a multi purpose weapon. Capable of adapting to any type of combat with easy handling.

No matter your play style you will find an attachment and perk combination that suits your play style, regardless of map and game mode.

It's low damage however might loose you the fight every once in awhile but with it's superb accuracy and low recoil you can stay on target with your only task being to hold down the trigger.

Thank for reading and I hope you've learned something useful.

My next weapon guide will be done by tomorrow and will be on the B23R Burst-Fire Handgun.

Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Weapon Guide:M-TAR Assault Rifle

Hello everyone, time for my first weapon guide of Black Ops 2. Today we're looking at the starting assault rifle, the M-TAR. History The Micro-Tar is a micro version of the TAR-21 rifle. It's designed to take advantage of a shorter barrel which means decreased recoil but increased accuracy. Designed for special fores units, it is capable of converting to different ammo variants such as the NATO standard 5.56 cartridge and the 9mm submachine gun round. It is also designed to be capable of attaching a Suppressor, as of 2009 a grenade launcher was being designed to attach to the M-TAR, the M-TAR can attach the M203PI grenade launcher. If you're a FPS veteran then you saw this weapon first in Battlefield 3 as part of the Close Quarters DLC, for COD veterans we saw this weapon's bigger brother, the TAR-21 in Modern Warfare 2. I'm warning you now, the M-TAR is not the TAR-21 we saw in Modern Warfare 2. Multiplayer Stats, Attachments and Performance In gam

Retro Gazette Reviews:Batman Returns SNES Review

Hello everyone. Welcome to another one of my Retro Reviews. Today we're going to be looking at a personal favorite of mine from the Super Nintendo era. Batman Returns. Story Music If you can't tell all ready from the intro video above, the music to Batman Returns for the SNES sounds great and does a good job of recreating some of the songs we heard in the film. My personal favorite stage music is from Stage 7 when you enter Arctic World, The Liberation of Gotham track sounds amazing in 16 bit audio. It's strange to review the music in a video game but the audio stands out so much and does an amazing job, again of recreating the films' soundtrack. Presentation The graphics and detail of Batman Returns is very good and ironically is much more colorful than the Tim Burton film. Gotham City, although currently suffering from a clown riot looks fantastic and Konami yet again does a good job of recreating scenes from the film, you see all these backgro
