Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Weapon Guides: DSR-50 Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle Guide.

Hello everybody, sorry for the delay on the DSR guide, I had to go out of town for the weekend and I didn't have access to a computer. Without any further delay we are going to be looking at the most powerful sniper rifle in Black Ops 2.

The DSR-50

Weapon Profile
The DSR-50 is a bolt-action, bull-pup, semi-automatic anti materiel rifle. Originating from Germany and is developed by DSR-Precision, it fires the massive .50 caliber BMG the Browning Machine Gun caliber or the 12.7 by 99mm NATO cartridge.

(From Left to Right:.50 BMG, 300 Win Mag, .308 Winchester round, 7.62x39mm, 5.56x45mm NATO, .22LR)
The DSR-50 is actually an up-scaled version of the DSR-1 rifle, also manufactured by DSR -Precision, the DSR-1 rifle was a compact bolt-action rifle that fired the .308 Winchester Mag. cartridge(as seen above) and was designed especially for police sharpshooters but has been adopted by the German GSG 9 counter-terrorist unit, as well as several European special police units and agencies.

Weapon Stats and Performance

The DSR-50 is the most powerful sniper rifle and the most powerful weapon in game. Dealing 98 damage with each shot with no range penalty, shooting the stomach, chest, arms, neck and head will always result in a one shot kill.

Although what it has in power, lacks in ADS time, magazine size, reload speed, fire rate and recoil.

Recoil is high, kicking sharply up to the right. ADS time is slow at 420 mili-seconds, magazine size is low at only 5 rounds, fire rate is extremely slow at only 50 RPM.

Although the recoil is high it does not affect first shot or follow up shot accuracy, the weapon will re-settle on center fast enough to where you could take out your target, if your player has bolted the rifle, readying for another shot.

In my experience with the DSR-50 I have come to love it as a weapon that compliments true snipers. Players that do not try to attempt the popular "quick-scope" and instead deny the enemy team and opponents access to certain areas and are capable of taking out the farthest ranged targets.

Combined with the high damage and non-existent range penalty you can take out any opponent you have caught in your sight.

It is tempting to simply hold down the zoom button to make sure you are always ready to take on any opponent you see in the scope but be careful as you will suffer from tunnel vision. Any target that is not in your immediate line of sight could pass through an area quickly without worrying about you due to the time constantly spent viewing the center of the scope.

A play-style that many of you want to adopt to use the DSR to it's maximum strength is a very defensive non aggressive style, in a nutshell, camping.

Staying back in a position where you have a good view of what the enemy team is doing or staying in a position that overlooks a high-traffic area will be the best plan of attack, taking out many opponents with almost little to no opposition, if you are spotted then the best thing to do is to escape that position and make sure you are well entrenched so that when your enemy comes for blood he will be surprised with your back up weapon or your equipment.

For our build we will make sure you can stay on target, take on targets that are at an extreme range and be ready to take on opponents at close range.

DSR Class Build
For this build you will need the Primary Gunfighter Wildcard

Equip the DSR-50 with the Ballistic-CPU, Variable Zoom and Fast mags to eliminate the sway of the scope when zooming with the DSR, to take on opponents at extreme ranges with ease and to cut down the reload speed in half.

For your secondary, equip the B23R.

For your perk set up.

Flak Jacket-To make sure if you're nest is attacked with explosive weapons and equipment you can still stay alive longer to escape the area and fend off your oncoming opponent.

Fast Hands-Will grant you the ability to quickly swap between your rifle and backup handgun, ready for the fight at any moment.

Tactical Mask-Will make you immune to your opponents EMP, Flashbangs, Concussion and Shock Charges. In case your opponents attack your position you can survive each attempt to disturb your nest and attack the disturbers to make a new nest.

The last point available should be used on the Claymore. To defend your nest and alerting you of opponents attempting to take you out of your position.

You will be able to take on opponents in your sights and take on opponents who breached your position.

The Verdict
The DSR-50 is a powerful rifle, the highest damage bullet based weapon in game that can take out any opponent in one shot above the waist.

It has very sluggish handling and it may take time to use the sniper properly, but once mastered you will become the deadliest sniper on the battlefield.

Quick-Scopers be warned as you might not be able to take on your opponents in CQC due to the slow ADS speed of the DSR and slow reload in case you run your magazine dry.

Thank you for reading. I hope you've enjoyed and that you've learned something useful.

My next game review will be on Batman Arkham Asylum and next Retro Review will be on Batman Returns for the Super Nintendo.

Until then, farewell.

Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Weapon Guide:M-TAR Assault Rifle

Hello everyone, time for my first weapon guide of Black Ops 2. Today we're looking at the starting assault rifle, the M-TAR. History The Micro-Tar is a micro version of the TAR-21 rifle. It's designed to take advantage of a shorter barrel which means decreased recoil but increased accuracy. Designed for special fores units, it is capable of converting to different ammo variants such as the NATO standard 5.56 cartridge and the 9mm submachine gun round. It is also designed to be capable of attaching a Suppressor, as of 2009 a grenade launcher was being designed to attach to the M-TAR, the M-TAR can attach the M203PI grenade launcher. If you're a FPS veteran then you saw this weapon first in Battlefield 3 as part of the Close Quarters DLC, for COD veterans we saw this weapon's bigger brother, the TAR-21 in Modern Warfare 2. I'm warning you now, the M-TAR is not the TAR-21 we saw in Modern Warfare 2. Multiplayer Stats, Attachments and Performance In gam

Retro Gazette Reviews:Batman Returns SNES Review

Hello everyone. Welcome to another one of my Retro Reviews. Today we're going to be looking at a personal favorite of mine from the Super Nintendo era. Batman Returns. Story Music If you can't tell all ready from the intro video above, the music to Batman Returns for the SNES sounds great and does a good job of recreating some of the songs we heard in the film. My personal favorite stage music is from Stage 7 when you enter Arctic World, The Liberation of Gotham track sounds amazing in 16 bit audio. It's strange to review the music in a video game but the audio stands out so much and does an amazing job, again of recreating the films' soundtrack. Presentation The graphics and detail of Batman Returns is very good and ironically is much more colorful than the Tim Burton film. Gotham City, although currently suffering from a clown riot looks fantastic and Konami yet again does a good job of recreating scenes from the film, you see all these backgro
