Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Weapon Guide:R-870 MCS Shotgun

Hello everyone and welcome to another one of my Black Ops 2 weapon guides. Sorry for the long wait everyone, I've been getting this weapon guide ready by trying to unlock every attachment on the 870. While also getting the next weapon guide ready. I won't tell you what it is until the end of the guide.

Weapon Profile
The Remington 870 is designed by Remington  Arms Company, this shotgun is more commonly used for hunting, sport shooting, law enforcement and self-defense. The Remington was designed in 1951 and is still in production today.

The 870 was the fourth major design in a series of Remington pump shotguns. The Remington 870 is an adaptation of the previous Remington shotgun designs of the Remington 11 and 48 auto-loader. This design of the Remington pump-action shotguns can fire 12 gauge, 16 gauge, 20 gauge, 28 gauge and .410 bore shells. Ammo is fed into a 3-8 round internal tube magazine.

This weapon is used and seen almost everywhere. Shooting ranges, hunting trips, law enforcement officials carrying the shotgun in their car and is used in many military and law enforcement forces around the world.

Game Performance/Stats

The R-870 is a high damage weapon, with limited range and is the only true pump-action weapon that fires pellets.

It fires 8 pellets per shot, each pellet deals 50 damage up close and 10 at a distance. Up close you will deal a devastating 400 points of damage, at range though you will deal a very small amount of damage, a very weak 80 points of damage. If a pellet or several pellets hit the head you will gain a 1.0x headshot multiplier

Rate of Fire is slow, at 80 rounds per minute. Magazine capacity is healthy for a shotgun at 8 rounds per minute if you unlock Extended Mags, the magazine size will increase by 3 rounds for 11 shells in total.

At a range of 5 meters you will deal your maximum 50 points of damage per pellet, at a range of 11 meters the 870 will drop down greatly to 10 points of damage. If you're trying to shoot anyone further away that is not in knifing distance, you're a maniac.

Unlike MW3 where aiming down the sights would not be any different than hip-firing, shotguns get a great pellet spread reduction when you aim down the sights a 90% reduction in pellet spread if you aim down the sights. At close ranges hip-firing or aiming down the sights will be very effective.

The iron sights are clean so aiming down the sights won't be a difficult challenge.

For our class build we are going to make it so we are more effective at range, effective at hip-firing, aim down the sights faster and make sure we get closer to the enemy.

For your attachments.

The Long-Barrel, Laser Sight and Quickdraw Handle will give us range, hip-fire effectiveness and quick to aim down the sights to take out an enemy that may take you by surprise. For this of course you will need to equip the Primary Gun Fighter Wild Card. The Quickdraw handle is meant as the back up, last ditch move. In case hip firing did not take down your opponent you can quickly aim down the sight and ensure as many pellets as possible makes contact with the enemy. In my experience, hip firing is effective enough and aiming down the sight does help but sometimes the ADS speed doesn't cut it and I end up loosing the fight.

For your perks.

Lightweight, Fast Hands with Dexterity and Extreme Conditioning will make you mobile, fast, get your weapon ready to fire faster after sprinting and may close the gap between you and your foe. For this you will need the Perk 3 Greed Wild Card.

This class set up is built around the 870's strengths and giving you very strong advantages in close quarters combat. You want to avoid long sight lines and instead keep to the interior of buildings, go through back alleys and flank positions. Also use the 870 on maps with good close quarter areas, maps such as Drone, Plaza, Hijacked, Raid and the new map Grind will be good maps to use the 870.

The Verdict

The R-870 MCS is a powerful weapon, almost with no opposition in close quarters and is the king of pump action shotguns.

The R-870 is recommended to anyone who wants to dominate in close quarters, but keep in mind your usual map routes you would take when using other weapons such as Assault Rifles or SMGs, must be changed in order for you to keep mobile without being shot down in mid run across the map.

Thank you for reading and I hope this helps you.

Come back for my next weapon guide for the second handgun available. The TAC.45

Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Weapon Guide:M-TAR Assault Rifle

Hello everyone, time for my first weapon guide of Black Ops 2. Today we're looking at the starting assault rifle, the M-TAR. History The Micro-Tar is a micro version of the TAR-21 rifle. It's designed to take advantage of a shorter barrel which means decreased recoil but increased accuracy. Designed for special fores units, it is capable of converting to different ammo variants such as the NATO standard 5.56 cartridge and the 9mm submachine gun round. It is also designed to be capable of attaching a Suppressor, as of 2009 a grenade launcher was being designed to attach to the M-TAR, the M-TAR can attach the M203PI grenade launcher. If you're a FPS veteran then you saw this weapon first in Battlefield 3 as part of the Close Quarters DLC, for COD veterans we saw this weapon's bigger brother, the TAR-21 in Modern Warfare 2. I'm warning you now, the M-TAR is not the TAR-21 we saw in Modern Warfare 2. Multiplayer Stats, Attachments and Performance In gam

Retro Gazette Reviews:Batman Returns SNES Review

Hello everyone. Welcome to another one of my Retro Reviews. Today we're going to be looking at a personal favorite of mine from the Super Nintendo era. Batman Returns. Story Music If you can't tell all ready from the intro video above, the music to Batman Returns for the SNES sounds great and does a good job of recreating some of the songs we heard in the film. My personal favorite stage music is from Stage 7 when you enter Arctic World, The Liberation of Gotham track sounds amazing in 16 bit audio. It's strange to review the music in a video game but the audio stands out so much and does an amazing job, again of recreating the films' soundtrack. Presentation The graphics and detail of Batman Returns is very good and ironically is much more colorful than the Tim Burton film. Gotham City, although currently suffering from a clown riot looks fantastic and Konami yet again does a good job of recreating scenes from the film, you see all these backgro
