Playstation 4 Console Review

Hello everyone. Well, I have officially began my entrance into the next generation of console gaming, I entered in last Thursday, December 19th, my little brother's birthday. It was also the last day of finals for college, so not only did I get to celebrate my little brother's 17th birthday, wrap up the Fall 2013 college semester. I also got a brand new PS4. I've been using it a lot since then(of course) and by now I have my final word on the console. Before I actually give my final word on the PS4, let's take a look at what it's bringing to the table. Forgive me, but I'm not really all that tech speak, so I'm just going to jump straight into the consoles design. Also, I have a last generation iPod with a poor camera, so a lot of the pictures you'll see are going to be grainy and nothing special. Also, this is my first console review, so if I miss a few things, I apologize, please fill in some of those aspects of the PS4 you think I should h...

Resogun (PS4 Exclusive) Review

Hello everyone. Well, as of last week on Thursday. The Playstation 4 came to the house. The UPS truck stopped by, the man handed me the giant box, pulled off the bubble wrap, opened the box and saw the sleek black box that is the Playstation 4. Set up the console, connected to PSN and began my experience with Resogun. Free for PS Plus members, Resogun is a great game to begin your Playstation experience. Let's begin. (No story/plot to the game so we're jumping straight into the presentation) Presentation Resogun looks amazing on the Playstation 4. Many particle effects fill the screen with all sorts of colorful explosions and lasers being shot from  all types of directions and dozens upon dozens of enemies populating the screen. At 1080p running at 60fps, there is no screen tearing or  frame rate drops to happen in this game. Even when some of the biggest of explosions take place on screen, the console will not be burdened by the vast explosions. I...

Battlefield 3 Weapon Guides: M4A1 Carbine

Hello everyone! Welcome to my 2nd in a series of weapon guides for Battlefield 3. Today, we're going to be looking at the default carbine rifle for the US Engineer Kit. The M4A1. Background The M4 rifle is a carbine derived from the M16 rifle design. More specifically, the M4 rifle was derived from the M16A2 design. Lighter, shorter and every other aspect, engineered the same as the M16A2. Gas operated, magazine fed, selective fire, shoulder-fired weapon. The M4A1 on the other hand, is a fully automatic variant of the M4 rifle; intended for special operations use. The M4A1 is used in almost all U.S. special operation units; Army Rangers, Army Special Forces, Navy SEALS etc. The M4A1 is also planned to replace every M4 carbine rifle and M16 rifle in 2014. Game Performance In game, the M4A1 is the default Carbine rifle for the U.S. Engineer kit. The weapon is a short to medium range carbine that fires at 800 RPM. Each round fired will travel at a velocity...

Grand Theft Auto V Review

Hello everyone. Well, I can safely say that I was someone who missed the ban wagon. When GTA V launched I did not play the game, not because I chose not to, but because I was concerned about buying the game straight away. I have never played a GTA game in my life(until now). I always say GTA as the "play the bad guy game", I don't like playing the bad guy. I would rather play the good guy, playing as characters like Cole Phelps or Link from Legend of Zelda is what I enjoy the most. Playing as the gang banger or "psychotic killer" like Franklin or Trevor; never had a great appeal to me. So I looked to Gamefly to rent the game to see if the game is as good as people have made it out to be. Is it? Yes. Story Grand Theft Auto V centers around 3 main characters. Michael, a retired con man living the big life in a mansion with a fancy car, backyard pool, unfaithful wife, lazy pot smoking son and want to be excotic dancer daughter. He's fed up ...

Battlefield 3 Weapon Guides: M16A3

Hello there. Welcome to my first Battlefield 3 weapons guide. Today, we're going to be looking at the default assault rifle of the assault kit, the M16A3. Background   In the real world of fire arms, the M16A3 is a select-fire variant of the previous rendition of the M16 rifle, the M16A2. The M16A3 features the M16A1 trigger group for safe semi-auto and fully auto modes. The M16 platform in general, is a very famous weapons in the US military. It is a light weight 5.56mm air-cooled, gas-operated, magazine-fed assault rifle built with a rotating bolt. The M16 is part of the AR-15 platform of rifles developed by Colt in 1959. The first versions of the M16 proved to be troublesome for any users of the combat rifle; jamming flaws which resulted from a change in gunpowder which was made without proper testing, and although the weapon was told to be 'self-cleaning' reports arose of soldiers being wounded were directly linked to the M16 rifle. The M16 was used...

Hello everyone. Nate here, heading back into writing about the gaming news of the day. What a day to get back into the game......as most of you can tell, I'm going to be starting with THOSE stories.... Lindsay Lohan Suing Rockstar over 'likeness' Source: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/12/02/gta-5-lindsay-lohan-supposedly-ready-to-sue-rockstar This is a rumor as of now so take this with a grain of salt. Lindsay Lohan is supposedly ready to sue Rockstar, developer of GTA V, over certain female characters seen in the game. According to TMZ, there is 3 pieces of evidence that Lohan will use to sue Rockstar. 1. Is an in-game missions that has players escorting an actress known as Lacey Jones safely away from paparazzi. Hitting The Refresh Button

Hello everyone. A lot of you may know by now that I have been slowly posting less and less blogs; game reviews, weapon guides and game news. Well, I'm hitting the refresh button. Starting tonight(or the morning, depending on where you are) I'm going to begin making new weapon guides, I'm going to begin my new weapon guide series in Battlefield 3. Expect to see Battlefield 3 weapons, default weapons and DLC weapons. Expect to see game news, I haven't been posting anything game news related, but, the news is starting to spice up lately and I feel my passion for game news writing returning. I am not doing this for fame, I am doing this simply for the fact that I love to write about gaming. Also, expect to see a vlog for my 200th post which is coming up soon. It's going to be fun going through my Battlefield arsenal of weapons for review and I'll keep an eye out for some interesting game news. If I get a PS4 soon(hopefully) you will also see BF...

Bioshock Infinite: Burial At Sea: Episode 1 Review

Well.....I literally finished Burial At Sea a few minutes ago, good god, why did I pay 15 bucks for this? This....is Burial At Sea. Story It's December 31st, 1958 in Rapture. Booker DeWitt is approached by a mysterious woman named Elizabeth. Elizabeth is there to help Booker find a missing girl named Sally, a girl believed to be dead by Booker, but Elizabeth says that Booker may be wrong. Booker and Elizabeth begin there search for Sally. It is a very short story, maybe the shortest I have ever experienced. It did keep my interest until the end....but the ending is where I began to regret my purchase. I don't want to spoil anything, but let me just say, it's going to be an ending that will rattle your brain. Presentation Burial At Sea takes us back to the last day of Rapture's beauty. We see the elegant clothing shops, cigarette stores, record stores; a Rapture that many fans might not be expecting, in a good way. I was stunned at how amazing R...

DmC:Devil May Cry (2013) Review

WAIT A MINUTE!!!!!!! I know that many of you dislike this game because of how much they changed Dante's looks. Hair Gate. I know this Dante is not the Dante we know and love from DMC 1-4. Trust me on this though guys. This is still a good DmC game! Story The story of DmC sets us in a world that is being run by demons. Demons are running the news to misinform and manipulate humanity for their own gain. Keeping the human race docile and unaware of the truth behind the curtain. (Spoilers Ahead) Dante, the son of the demon warrior Sparda and angel Eva. Is a young adult, not giving a damn about the world or what happens to it. With one exception, he hates demons. Soon, he's given a reason to care. The demons begin to hunt him down to kill him, to ensure that no one is alive that may stop the demon's plans. Dante doesn't understand why until his brother Virgil finds him. Virgil informs Dante of his once forgotten past. He helps Dante remember who his p...

My 5 Favorite Games Of The 7th Gen.

Hello everybody. Well guys, the eighth  generation is upon us. I think it's time we reminisced; think back to all the great times we have had throughout these last few years. Many games have been made during the 7th  generation, some that are my absolute favorite games from the Seventh Generation. These are my personal 5 favorite games of the Seventh Generation 5. Fallout 3 Fallout 3 was actually my first open world RPG that I played. My friends had talked about the game a lot in school. My friend two doors down would not stop talking about how great it was. When I finally got my 360 he let me borrow it. Awesomeness ensued. I fell in love with Fallout 3 with the ironically relaxing experience of the game. Listening to The Ink Spots "I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire" meanwhile blasting a Super Mutant's head clean off with my laser rifle.  I loved the  freedom you had with the game. There was no path set in stone that you had to follow in or...

Batman: Arkham Origins(2013) Review

Hello everyone. Welcome to another review. Let me address the elephant in the room. This game has many mixed reviews. Some say this game is a great addition to the Arkham series, some however do not like it and think it's a stain on the otherwise polished design of the Arkham series. I love this series to death. However, the Arkham fan that I am will be kept at bay. I will knock this game down a few pegs. Story It's Christmas Eve in Gotham City. Black Mask has decided to start an operation in order to kill The Batman. He calls in 8 assassins from across the globe to see which one will take down The Bat first. Batman decides to take it upon himself to stop Black Mask and all 8 assassins, so that no innocents are harmed in the process of hunting Batman. It's a good story for an Arkham game. It takes it's sweet time building up twists and foreshadowing character reveals. However, do not let that 'Origins' title of the game confuse you. The story is not...
