Borderlands 2 Review

Hello everyone. Merry Christmas! Today I thought it would be a proper day to review the game that just keeps on giving, Borderlands 2. The game that quite literally has a  bajillion different guns, various types of enemies and environments that never look the same. A class based FPS RPG that gives you endless hours of enjoyment and guns to loot, Borderlands 2 is far different from any FPS we have seen on the market. If you didn't find this under your Christmas tree it may be a good idea to ask for this one for a birthday or even go out and buy it next week. Trust me it is worth every penny. Let's begin. Story 5 years have passed since the events of the first Borderlands. The first 4 vault hunters have spread out and have started to rebel against Hyperion and it's new boss, Handsome Jack. Handsome Jack has taken over Pandora and is ruling it with an iron fist. Hyperion has suddenly gained this huge interest in Pandora because of a new element  known as &q

Gun Control. How can it be solved?

Hello everyone. This is a serious issue that I am going to be talking about today, gun control. How should it be addressed, what's the solution and what causes gun violence? After the events at Sandy Nook Elementary the topic of Gun Control has been talked about a lot in the political media, however each approach from both sides of the political coin doesn't seem to be thinking logically. The Conservative approach is more guns, today the NRA held a conference in which they stated that they ask for Congress to pass a law in which there will be an armed officer at every school in the nation. The Spokesman also said "The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun." I'm sorry but this does not solve the problem. First of all the gunman could be thinking that they are the good guy and the officer is the bad guy and think that what he's doing is good for everyone. The Spokesman continued to say "Why is it ok for Secret Service to

Series Review:Metroid Prime

Hello all, welcome to the beginning of a game series review. For the next few review we're going to be looking back at the early days of the Nintendo Gamecube and the launch of the Nintendo Wii. We're going to be looking at the series that has been with us Nintendo Fans since the beginning. Metroid Ever since the first Nintendo Entertainment System we first saw this intergalactic female bounty hunter fighting off 2D aliens, monsters and space pirates that we didn't see her for awhile. Then in 2002 we saw her again in a new light, Metroid Prime was the first in the series to be a First Person Shooter. This was a big change in the series. Did the change work? Yes it did. Let's take a look at Metroid Prime. Story 50 years prior to the arrival of Samus a strange meteor hit the planet of Tallon IV, a planet home to the Chozo race. the race that trained Samus to be the hunter she is today. The meteor contained a strange element and with it a powerful creatu

Skyrim:Dawnguard DLC Review

Hello everyone, back again for another review. This time we're going to look at a DLC expansion for the still popular RPG, Skyrim. DLC has been with modern gaming for so long, some DLC is worth the extra money you pay other DLC packs are obvious money rip offs. Dawnguard on the other hand is the total opposite, I love Skyrim and I still play it today, Dawnguard even in the trailers and info we had prior to release sounded good. You get to either join an ancient group of vampire hunters to hunt vampires with a crossbow, a set of new armor and even ancient vampire killing weapons. On the other hand you could choose to join the vampires and become a Vampire Lord to bring havok down upon Skyrim and even blot out the sun so you and your vampire companions will make Skyrim empty of blood. Let's see what's new and where you'll be going in the expansion Dawnguard. Story The ancient group of holy warriors known as the Dawnguard is reforming. A prophecy is close at

Halo 4-The Improvements and Changes it needs.

Hello all, Gazette here to talk about Halo 4's multiplayer. Before I go on, I will not deny the fact that Halo 4 is a great game. Honestly it is the best Halo game I have played thus far, Halo 1 of course is a classic but when you compare Halo:Reach to Halo 4 the clear victor is Halo 4. Bungie simply put, ruined Halo for many of us Halo fans. The graphics, story, campaign and firefight was all right but it was the added Bloom(recoil) and the changes made to Reach that ended up killing the game. I can not give you a single reason to dust off Reach and play it, not today, not tomorrow, never. In my opinion I think 343 saw Halo Reach and said to themselves "This is how it ends?! This is not acceptable, we need to make another Halo." 343's first game under their belt and it is amazing. However it's not perfect. The multiplayer really is the problem. The multiplayer's connection is terrible, I'm not sure whether or not the kills

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Weapon Guide:Model 1887 Shotgun.

Hello all, Gazette back again for one more review of the final shotgun to be unlocked in MW3. The Model 1887. Remember how awesome this gun was in Modern Warfare 2? Remember Akimbo 1887s? Those good times and memories are now DEAD thanks to Sledgehammer's botched up delivery of MW3, remember from my past weapon guides how I talked about how shotguns were very inconsistent at any range? Forget how I said the KSG was the prime example, the Model 1887 IS the prime example and is the only example you need in order to prove how inconsistent shotguns perform in this game. So let's see what exactly makes this abomination tick. History  The Winchester Model 1887 is the first successful repeating shotgun, designed by John Browning for the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. Originally John Browning thought the shotgun would be better as a pump-action shotgun. The original 1887 designed was still produced and later Winchester would release the Model 1893

Call of Duty: Then and Now, The Horror of MW3. Part 2,Final.

Hello again, sorry for the long wait, I've been busy with family issues. If you read my last post about Call of Duty then you saw how well in detail I went into past Call of Duty games leading to Black Ops 2, in this post we will examine the sheer horror of Modern Warfare 3. After the release of Black Ops from Treyarch, the CoD community was in sheer disgust of  Black Ops and even to this day is considered the worst CoD in CoD history. Terrible hit detection, Gun Clones, poor perk balance and an attempt to make CoD reward the defensive player instead of the aggressive player i.e. camping over rushing. Modern Warfare 3 was later announced and the CoD community looked to MW3 to bring them back CoD delight, rushing with powerful SMGs, using bolt action snipers to quick-scope and see some old fan favorite weapons come back from MW2. However there was a lot of controversy when the community finally saw some footage of there supposed CoD from heaven, it looked exactly like Mod

Halo 4 Review.

Every once in a while a game is made that comes into the industry and changes the way how we look at games, genres and art style alike is given a new identity when these things happen. Halo:Combat Evolved did that all the way back in 2001 and changed how we looked at the FPS genre, with an open beautiful environment and a new take on how FPS games are played, the game also changed how we look at online multiplayer gaming. Fast forward to 2012, 343 Industries changes how we look at Halo and it's multiplayer. It changes how we look at the relationship between Master Chief and Cortana, it changes how the game is played and sets a new bar for FPS gaming but lacks some key things in the multiplayer. Story Since the first Halo, we have perceived Master Chief or John Spartan as a killing machine, he has no emotion and only has one thing on his mind "Complete the Mission" in Halo 4 we see a new Master Chief. After 4 years of the events of Halo 3, Chief and Cortan

Call of Duty: Then and now, road to Black Ops 2 Part.1

Hello all, I want to state something before I go into the topic of this post. Call of Duty. This monster of a series is still going strong after 9 years of release after release. This series became popular for many reasons. Players were given the opportunity to experience WW2 and see the war through the eyes of the soldiers who experienced the war first hand. They were given the opportunity to use historic weapons of old such as the M1GARAND and the infamous M1911 pistol. After a series of more WW2 COD games we finally went to the modern age in Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare. The series was refreshed with this new style of gameplay, using M4 assault rifles fighting through Afghanistan and raiding a compound in Russia Modern Warfare was and still to this day claimed as the best Call of Duty title in the series. The multiplayer is also considered the best, balanced gameplay that rewards the skilled player. There were still some problems with the game here and there but

Resident Evil 6 Public Demo Review

Hello everyone, for those of you RE fans out there then you should know by now(or just in case you don't know) Capcom released a public demo of Resident Evil 6. Now for those of you who do not know if you pre-ordered Capcom's "Dragon's Dogma" you got early access to the RE6 demo, however the pre-order demo was the demo shown at E3, the PUBLIC demo is a completely different experience. You see different areas and experience different events then what you saw at the E3 demonstration. For this review however I will only go over Presentation and Gameplay. So let's not waste any more time, let's dive right into the Resident Evil 6 Public Demo. Presentation Resident Evil 6 looks fantastic, Resident Evil 6's engine is actually an upgraded version of the same engine used in Resident Evil 5, everything in Resident Evil not only looks great but little things such as the options menu and your inventory has a very cool and unique futuristic style. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Weapon Guide: KSG-12 Pump-Action Shotgun

Hello everyone, Gazette back again for another MW3 weapon guide, this time around we're going to be looking at the very unreliable and baffling shotguns of MW3. If there are those of you who remember playing Modern Warfare 2 then you remember how shotguns back then were secondaries and packed a punch. A lot of people didn't like it but for everyone that didn't like shotguns as secondaries there will be a group of people that will enjoy a shotgun for a secondary. Coming into Modern Warfare 3 the developers had the choice to either make the shotguns primaries or reduce the damage of shotguns if they were going to be secondaries, the developers did the mistake of doing both, since most of the shotguns(except for the Striker) got the nerf stick shotguns are now unreliable close quarter weapons, sometimes the shotguns will do wonders for you (once in a great while). Sometimes you'll realize you have a power stick in your hand, other times you'll wonder if you ev
