The Last of Us Remastered Review

Last year an exclusive Playstation 3 title was released. Called 'The Last of Us' when it was released the reviews came and the word was spread. The Last of Us was the best PS3 exclusive released and it received over 200 game of the year awards. One year later it was remade for the Playstation 4. For anyone who has not played The Last of Us and you own a PS4. This is the exclusive you want in your game collection. This is The Last of Us. The Struggle for Survival Photo Mode pictures that I took myself The Last of Us is an emotional and terrifying tale of the world plunged into chaos by the evolution of the Cordyceps fungi. It has now evolved to the point where it now can affect human beings and no longer just a few insects like ants. Not only does this story bring a new take on the zombie apocalypse setting but it also brings the most engrossing story that I have ever experienced on a video game. The story has excellent pacing, memorable moments that have m...

Thoughts on Advanced Warfare Multiplayer Reveal

Today marked the reveal of Call of Duty Advanced Warfare's multiplayer. How the exo-suit changes the game, new customization, weapons, perks, streaks etc. I will say that this game does look very different from past Call of Duty titles. Mostly due to the fact that the exo-suit is now letting players jump high, hover, super-punch opponents and dodge to several directions avoid gunfire or whatever else threatens to end your streak. Oh yeah and there are laser weapons now Honestly, it did not impress me. There wasn't really anything that I saw in the reveal that was jaw dropping or anything that  looked exciting in the game. In fact, I'm watching footage right now from other youtubers  right now and I'm still not impressed with the game. Environments do look nice but the color pallet is yet again very bland. Nothing really pops-out or is eye catching.  Create-A-Class brings back the Pick 10 system from Black Ops 2 except now it's Pick 13 tha...

Resident Evil: Code Veronica X Review

Thanks to PS Now I was able to fill a gap in RE games I had not played. RE games from 0 to 6 I have played, the only title that I did not play was Resident Evil Code Veronica X. So I rented Code Veronica X from PS Now and little did I know that this would soon become the 2nd worst RE game I've played (the first being Operation Raccoon City). This is Code Veronica X. Presentation Code Veronica X, before RE 4, did have some graphical improvements from previous RE titles. For starters, faces move and show emotion....as best it can. As well as in-game cutscenes with characters doing more than just the standard running animation you would see during gameplay. Cutscene animations look pretty good, they're mostly comparable to RE2 and RE3 cutscenes. The voice acting however in this game is atrocious. Either these were inept voice actors or the director told them "Don't bother trying. Just make sounds." But then again, Resident Evil dialogue hasn't ...

Thoughts on PS Now

For awhile now, Sony's game streaming service to play PS3 games on the PS4, PS Now. Has only been playable by a lucky select few in a private beta. During that time photos and comments were posted online about the ridiculous prices to rent the games from the service. Now that the Open Beta has begun is the pricing still an issue? Yes I was really excited when I learned about PS Now to be honest. My excitement was mostly because in my mind that meant that I would be able to play all the exclusive titles and hits that I missed on the PS3. Heck I'm still pretty excited to one day wake up and find that God of War 3 is in the PS Now library. For right now it isn't and I hope they add that and some other titles soon. My experience with service so far has been good. I haven't really been playing a lot of PS3 titles though. So far I've only played the Twisted Metal reboot and Resident Evil: Code Veronica X. I haven't run into any major hi...
