The Partisanship Bubble

Well hello everyone,

I'm taking a crack at a political blog post, this may either get nasty very quickly or something that's rather sobering for many. Have you noticed that in politics today we are very divided? Many of you probably rolled your eyes and said to yourself or out loud "Gee, ya think?" and some of you sighed in sadness as it is very disheartening to acknowledge the fact that we are very divided when it comes to our politics.

Political Parties - U.S. Embassy & Consulate in the Republic of Korea

How it has happened, I think, is from the one thing both the members of the Democratic and Republican party have in common, a bubble.

A bubble of selected information from a particular source of information and a group of friends or acquaintances that share similar political views and opinions.

Those on both sides have decided to escape into these bubbles, not wanting to have anything to do with the other people outside of their own bubbles. We do not want to put ourselves in the shoes of others, not understanding why they have the political viewpoint that they do or any viewpoint that is different from our own.

It's only until recently that I have seen members of both parties come onto various news networks and detail why they think the other side of the political spectrum is not a group of people to be trusted or that there is something seriously wrong with the other side. The us and them mentality is more prevalent in today's politics. Especially when Hillary Clinton coined the phrase "Basket of Deplorables"

What has spawned from these hyper partisan ideals and practices is a new trend in our politics in which where you, whether Democrat or Republican must defend the ideology of the political party you are in, intelligence, integrity and credibility be damned. Argue and advocate for your side and defend anyone that may be in the midst of a scandal when they are part of your political team or they support you in one way or another. Stop talking to people or ignore those that have different political view points or view points that do not sync up with your own, heck, even insult them and throw baseless claims and accusations about their character even, what is important is that you stick to your political team 100%!

This is the reason why Facebook friends suddenly unfriend you because you shared something political and they did not like it, it is why you no longer talk to friends because you think that their political view points are a deal breaker and a reason for why you can no longer or ever be friends. For god sake, it's even the reason why relationships don't happen because heaven forbid you talk to someone who has a viewpoint different then your own.

What do think America is some kind of melting pot of cultures, religions and ideas?!

Look at this nonsense!

There is one thing I want to say though, I am guilty of this. When I first started to get into politics I found myself very deep in the bubble of my political view points, I did my best to let people know that I was a left-wing leaning Liberal who made sure people knew I supported gun control and Republicans were a bunch of redneck morons who married their sister!

Now as I look back at those moments and notions I had in my political bubble I find myself embarrassed about it. It's ridiculous the things I said and the things I believed.

If we all can be able to self-criticize and even criticize our own political teams and how they act and behave when they engage in politics then maybe, just maybe we can start to clear the air of the toxic political environment and actually start to get things done that truly benefit the people of this nation.

Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Weapon Guide:M-TAR Assault Rifle

Hello everyone, time for my first weapon guide of Black Ops 2. Today we're looking at the starting assault rifle, the M-TAR. History The Micro-Tar is a micro version of the TAR-21 rifle. It's designed to take advantage of a shorter barrel which means decreased recoil but increased accuracy. Designed for special fores units, it is capable of converting to different ammo variants such as the NATO standard 5.56 cartridge and the 9mm submachine gun round. It is also designed to be capable of attaching a Suppressor, as of 2009 a grenade launcher was being designed to attach to the M-TAR, the M-TAR can attach the M203PI grenade launcher. If you're a FPS veteran then you saw this weapon first in Battlefield 3 as part of the Close Quarters DLC, for COD veterans we saw this weapon's bigger brother, the TAR-21 in Modern Warfare 2. I'm warning you now, the M-TAR is not the TAR-21 we saw in Modern Warfare 2. Multiplayer Stats, Attachments and Performance In gam

Retro Gazette Reviews:Batman Returns SNES Review

Hello everyone. Welcome to another one of my Retro Reviews. Today we're going to be looking at a personal favorite of mine from the Super Nintendo era. Batman Returns. Story Music If you can't tell all ready from the intro video above, the music to Batman Returns for the SNES sounds great and does a good job of recreating some of the songs we heard in the film. My personal favorite stage music is from Stage 7 when you enter Arctic World, The Liberation of Gotham track sounds amazing in 16 bit audio. It's strange to review the music in a video game but the audio stands out so much and does an amazing job, again of recreating the films' soundtrack. Presentation The graphics and detail of Batman Returns is very good and ironically is much more colorful than the Tim Burton film. Gotham City, although currently suffering from a clown riot looks fantastic and Konami yet again does a good job of recreating scenes from the film, you see all these backgro
