Netflix's Resident Evil: Another Horrible Adaptation

When it comes to the live action Resident Evil adaptations, ask any fan of the series and they'll tell you that they have never gotten it right. Ask a fan who was there since they first tried to adapt Resident Evil to the big screen and they will tell you they have not gotten right since 2002. Think about that, for the last twenty years Capcom and whatever studio that they gave the rights to have not done the Resident Evil franchise any justice when it comes to live action cinematic outings. To be fair, the first two live action Resident Evil films were not that good but they were at least enjoyable in that the new story they told was at least something you could see in a Resident Evil game and Resident Evil Apocalypse did cover the Raccoon City outbreak with a pretty faithful and practically designed Nemesis with legacy characters like Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira. Of course afterwords was the 3D action guilty pleasure nonsense that stuck with the films until the very end w...

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen Review: A Step in the Right Direction

So if  you have read my past posts about Destiny 2 or really heard any honest yet faithful Destiny fan, it should be no surprise that Destiny is a hard game to love not only privately but also publicly. Privately, many a player such as myself can play the game but think often at times "Man I could be playing Final Fantasy 14 or ANY other game right now but I just want to play this right now and use space magic to find a new awesome space gun to fight space monsters". Publicly, anyone finds out you're a Destiny fan then it's like people want to conduct an intervention to help you with your unfortunate fascination with this game.  To be honest I get where they come from in not understanding how anyone could be a fan of the game. Since the original Destiny launch back in 2014 the game has not had the best reputation. Players would leave in droves either due to the incredibly disappointing and frustrating RNG loot system, the daunting amount of grind players would have t...

Resident Evil 3 REmake: Something is Missing....

The Resident Evil 2 REmake was not only a good game but it was also a good remake. It stayed true to the original and introduced the same monsters and characters while introducing new elements to the game that made it feel like an entirely new game. In 2019, for many, it was a contender for Game of the Year and it was very deserving of such a consideration.  Fast forward to the following year and it was announced that Resident Evil 3 was being remade. Finally, another long awaited Resident Evil REmake and especially after the last remake there was understandable hype to be felt and of course looking back at the last few Capcom releases: Resident Evil 7, Monster Hunter World and the Resident Evil 2 REmake, this was going to be another outstanding release from Capcom. Then reports came out... It was revealed that the approach to the REmake was instead of telling the story of Resident Evil 3 like in the original with branching paths and dynamic story telling, RE3 Remake was going to t...

Dead by Daylight(2021) Review : The "Hall of Fame of Horror"

Many many MANY years ago a good old friend of mine mentioned a game called Dead by Daylight, a multiplayer horror game that we all could try and play. I did not know a thing about it and it could have been about literally anything with horror elements.  We all played, got scared from being chased by the first killer we experienced "The Nurse" and we kept playing and playing and playing, coming back every once in awhile to see what the game has added or what has changed. Since 2016 this game has gone through many changes in gameplay balance, added a diverse array of killers some iconic and original with many perks and maps that allow for these abilities to shine and perks to be used to great advantage. Despite Dead by Daylight's downright basic gameplay loop the game still has managed to stay relevant and interesting where many other would be Dead by Daylight killers or copy cats go and fade off into the unknown or failing to capture the same success that Dead by Daylight...

Fallout 4(XB1) Review

This is a super late to the party review! I sat on this review for awhile because it took me awhile to complete the main story with a faction of the Commonwealth and I also wanted to wait until Mods were released and how they worked out. With both of those checked off the list and a calculated 3 days and 23 hours put into the game, both regular and modded Fallout 4 delivers on a more immersive RPG survival game with many changes and improvements to aspects of the Fallout series but is lacking in certain areas. Welcome to the Commonwealth! Fallout 4 begins on the day the bombs fell, the day when the world panicked in order to scramble towards the vaults to stay safe from the nuclear holocaust above. Our main character is put on ice, frozen until the world has been rebuilt. We all unfortunately know how the world rebuilding thing goes... Mean while our character is frozen, out of nowhere two strangers are seen breaking into the vault and kidnapping our infant son away fr...

DOOM(2016) PS4 Review

This is very much a late to the party review seeing as how DOOM was released a month ago and I didn't finish the game until a few days ago but I'm here now to review the game and oh man oh man was this a fun experience. If this game had been released back in the nineties you can be sure parents would have flipped their lid even more with the fact that this game exists. This is DOOM The Invasion of Mars For those of us that have played the original DOOM games (DOOM to DOOM 64) there has never been much of a story. You were just a marine that happened to be the soul survivor on the UAC base during a demonic invasion and fighting your way through the base all the way into the depths of Hell. DOOM 2016 introduces a story and a new origin story for the DOOM marine. The story goes over what the UAC was doing on Mars, how the invasion happened and who exactly the DOOM marine is. What I like about the story is that it's totally optional to what you want from your DO...

Hitchcock (2012) Movie Review

Good evening, tonight I am reviewing a delightful tale about the master of suspense himself, Alfred Hitchcock. Now if there are those in the audience tonight who suffer from insomnia, Mr.Hitchcock was kind enough to inform us of the cure to such a dreadful ailment. These tablets must be taken internally and can only be used with this tool. For tonight's entertainment, I present to you the review of the 2012 film "Hitchcock" Story Hitchcock takes place in the year 1959, when Hitchcock was filming his masterpiece "Psycho"  . The movie shows the struggle that Alfred Hitchcock went through in order to make the film. The film opens up with the premiere of his latest film "North by Northwest" he comes out of the premiere and is asked by a reporter "You're the most famous director in the history of the medium, but you're 60 years old, shouldn't you just quite while you're ahead?" Hitchcock realize...

Magic City (2012) Starz Series Review

Good morning everyone Welcome to my review of the Starz series Magic City. The story of corruption, murder and sex. Story Set in 1959 Miami, Florida after the Cuban Revolution. We are introduced to Ike Evans, the owner of Miami's most glamorous hotel the Miramar Playa. When Ike was building the Miramar he didn't have enough money to make the Miramar the hotel he wanted it to be, so before it was finished he made a deal with the most notorious mob boss of Miami Ben "The Butcher" Diamond. Although the Miramar Playa would not have been what it is without Ben Diamond, Ike is looking for a way to get rid of Ben Diamond and cut all connections to the mob. Ben on the other hand is doing his best to show Ike that getting rid of him will not be the best decision. Series The series itself is a mixed bag. The story to the series is very interesting and watching Ike struggle to be a good man while fighting his opposite Ben Diamond is a fight y...
