The Boys Season 4 Review: Stale and Obnoxiously Political(SPOILERS)

The Boys first dropped on Amazon Prime back in twenty nineteen and immediately left an impression on anybody that watched. The first episode especially let the audience know that this was not some cutesy, fun romp through a comic book world like people may have been used to through watching the multiple MCU movies and even DC movies that Disney and Warner Bros. had released. This show was going to be a gory, nothing held back roller coaster ride where we find ourselves in a world where superheroes are essentially these undisciplined drug addicts, sex fiends or worse because the world has essentially been handed to them on a silver platter for no other reason than they have super powers. Superheroes are not people, nor are they really heroes, they are simply brands and faces on the side of energy drinks, kid's meals and even sex toys because it can sell on the marketplace. Whenever there is a crime and a particular superhero comes along the way to save the day? It is most likely sta...

Netflix's Resident Evil: Another Horrible Adaptation

When it comes to the live action Resident Evil adaptations, ask any fan of the series and they'll tell you that they have never gotten it right. Ask a fan who was there since they first tried to adapt Resident Evil to the big screen and they will tell you they have not gotten right since 2002. Think about that, for the last twenty years Capcom and whatever studio that they gave the rights to have not done the Resident Evil franchise any justice when it comes to live action cinematic outings. To be fair, the first two live action Resident Evil films were not that good but they were at least enjoyable in that the new story they told was at least something you could see in a Resident Evil game and Resident Evil Apocalypse did cover the Raccoon City outbreak with a pretty faithful and practically designed Nemesis with legacy characters like Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira. Of course afterwords was the 3D action guilty pleasure nonsense that stuck with the films until the very end w...

Hitchcock (2012) Movie Review

Good evening, tonight I am reviewing a delightful tale about the master of suspense himself, Alfred Hitchcock. Now if there are those in the audience tonight who suffer from insomnia, Mr.Hitchcock was kind enough to inform us of the cure to such a dreadful ailment. These tablets must be taken internally and can only be used with this tool. For tonight's entertainment, I present to you the review of the 2012 film "Hitchcock" Story Hitchcock takes place in the year 1959, when Hitchcock was filming his masterpiece "Psycho"  . The movie shows the struggle that Alfred Hitchcock went through in order to make the film. The film opens up with the premiere of his latest film "North by Northwest" he comes out of the premiere and is asked by a reporter "You're the most famous director in the history of the medium, but you're 60 years old, shouldn't you just quite while you're ahead?" Hitchcock realize...

Magic City (2012) Starz Series Review

Good morning everyone Welcome to my review of the Starz series Magic City. The story of corruption, murder and sex. Story Set in 1959 Miami, Florida after the Cuban Revolution. We are introduced to Ike Evans, the owner of Miami's most glamorous hotel the Miramar Playa. When Ike was building the Miramar he didn't have enough money to make the Miramar the hotel he wanted it to be, so before it was finished he made a deal with the most notorious mob boss of Miami Ben "The Butcher" Diamond. Although the Miramar Playa would not have been what it is without Ben Diamond, Ike is looking for a way to get rid of Ben Diamond and cut all connections to the mob. Ben on the other hand is doing his best to show Ike that getting rid of him will not be the best decision. Series The series itself is a mixed bag. The story to the series is very interesting and watching Ike struggle to be a good man while fighting his opposite Ben Diamond is a fight y...

A Clockwork Orange(1971) Film Review

Good evening fellow movie viewers. Today I'm going to be reviewing a cult classic of Stanley Kubrick's many brilliant films. A Clockwork Orange. Plot The film takes place in a not so distant future of Britain, a future where the youth has become the more violent criminals of Britain. We're introduced to the leader of one of the youth gangs in Britain, Alex, played by a young Malcolm McDowell. Alex is the main character of the film and is also the narrator, giving us a first person perspective of the events that occur in the time we see him during the film. Alex's droogs begin to question Alex's authority and wants to perform more high yield thefts instead of petty crimes. Alex re-establishes authority by attacking his droogs that questioned his authority. He shows them sympathy and asks his droogs about their idea of a 'high yield theft'. His droogs tell Alex about a mansion with a "cat lady" that has all sorts of thin...

Sherlock BBC Series Review

Good afternoon everyone. Today I am going to be reviewing one of my most favorite of television mystery crime dramas. Sherlock. A modern retelling of the mystery novels written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes. Whom many of you might recognize as Johnathan Harrison from Star Trek: Into Darkness. And Martin Freeman as Dr.John Watson. Whom many of you might recognize as Bilbo Baggins from The Hobbit. Sherlock brings a modern twist to the famous cases of Sherlock Holmes but still holds true to the original story of the many cases Sherlock and Watson solved during their partnership. The series so far only has two seasons and the third is only a few months away. Let's review each season and the way the episodes are made in the series. Season 1 In Season 1 of Sherlock, we're introduced to John Watson and Sherlock Holmes. Watson is a former soldier of the British Army, returning from the war in Afghan...

Original vs Remake:Night of The Living Dead

Good afternoon everyone. Today I decided to try something new, and instead of reviewing a game, doing a weapon guide or posting about news in gaming, we're heading into film. Specifically, the zombie films. What has been the iconic threat to the living since 1968, zombie films have come and gone through the years, some that are forgotten by time and some that stick with us and are remembered even to this day. If you are a film buff such as myself there a few iconic zombie movies that come into mind, but the one zombie film that still sticks to me and is the first zombie movie that comes to mind is of course George A Romero's classic                                     Night of The Living Dead The zombie film that wrote all the rules to the zombie movies and inspired many other zombie moves to come. Night of The Living Dead is a classic horror film, ask any film buff that wat...
