Destiny 2 is in Trouble....Again

The game many gamers love to hate but secretly love and the game that probably set off the live service craze, Destiny 2, is in trouble....again From a technical standpoint Destiny 2 is doing pretty well I would say. Servers are running well, not too many game breaking bugs or glitches going on. Telesto works and is still available in the game to be used in PVE and PVP. When you get hit by a melee attack you don't go flying through the world like a brick nor do you fall through the game world just because you jump in a weird way and gear is not randomly disappearing from people's vaults. The problem Destiny 2 is facing is not technical but instead is enthusiasm and trust. The player count in Destiny 2 is dropping and as of now it is at the lowest point it has ever been and the trust from the community is also very low. Enthusiasm is low because as of right now there is not a lot to do within Destiny 2. If you finished the Final Shape expansion and you are caught up with the cu...

Destiny 2 is not Free to Play

When you hear "Free to Play" the first things that immediately pop into your head is a game that is very repetitive, very grind and heavy with microtransactions. Every time you turn around the game is asking for money for access to certain quests, certain weapons and outfits.  Fortnite is probably the game that most of you probably think of when you hear "Free to Play". A game that asks players for money at every point for the Battle-Pass, the emotes, the outfits, the weapon skins etc. etc.  However, there are free to play titles like Warframe. Warframe is probably the gold standard of free to play titles. It is a game that while yes offers microtransactions for many of it's in game items and special goods. A lot of what the game offers is completely free. You can make it from expansions to expansion without paying a penny for better gear, better warframes to take on combatants. You can grind for as long as you'd like to getting better gear and you will righ...

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen Review: A Step in the Right Direction

So if  you have read my past posts about Destiny 2 or really heard any honest yet faithful Destiny fan, it should be no surprise that Destiny is a hard game to love not only privately but also publicly. Privately, many a player such as myself can play the game but think often at times "Man I could be playing Final Fantasy 14 or ANY other game right now but I just want to play this right now and use space magic to find a new awesome space gun to fight space monsters". Publicly, anyone finds out you're a Destiny fan then it's like people want to conduct an intervention to help you with your unfortunate fascination with this game.  To be honest I get where they come from in not understanding how anyone could be a fan of the game. Since the original Destiny launch back in 2014 the game has not had the best reputation. Players would leave in droves either due to the incredibly disappointing and frustrating RNG loot system, the daunting amount of grind players would have t...

Why I cannot recommend Destiny 2 Pt.2 - Dollars not well spent

Way back when Destiny 2 was first being released I was hesitantly excited about it but then thought about all my experiences of the original Destiny such as completing the first Vault of Glass raid, seeing  my first legendary engram coming back as the Hawkmoon exotic and decking out my Titan with Iron Banner gear.  I then went to take games from my 360 collection that I did not need anymore because I had the remastered versions on my PS4 and got Destiny 2 for six dollars and forty cents.  Six dollars and forty cents Then I played Destiny 2, finished it and played some of the end game and thought "This was not worth six dollars and forty cents." Let me be clear, Destiny 2 was not a broken game to the likes of WoW classic, Cyberpunk or say Fallout 76. In fact the game was expertly crafted together. The locations you would explore, the cut-scenes throughout the game and the gun play was fantastic and it was the same gameplay that I remembered from the first Destiny but slig...
