Resident Evil 3 REmake: Something is Missing....

The Resident Evil 2 REmake was not only a good game but it was also a good remake. It stayed true to the original and introduced the same monsters and characters while introducing new elements to the game that made it feel like an entirely new game. In 2019, for many, it was a contender for Game of the Year and it was very deserving of such a consideration.  Fast forward to the following year and it was announced that Resident Evil 3 was being remade. Finally, another long awaited Resident Evil REmake and especially after the last remake there was understandable hype to be felt and of course looking back at the last few Capcom releases: Resident Evil 7, Monster Hunter World and the Resident Evil 2 REmake, this was going to be another outstanding release from Capcom. Then reports came out... It was revealed that the approach to the REmake was instead of telling the story of Resident Evil 3 like in the original with branching paths and dynamic story telling, RE3 Remake was going to take

Dead by Daylight(2021) Review : The "Hall of Fame of Horror"

Many many MANY years ago a good old friend of mine mentioned a game called Dead by Daylight, a multiplayer horror game that we all could try and play. I did not know a thing about it and it could have been about literally anything with horror elements.  We all played, got scared from being chased by the first killer we experienced "The Nurse" and we kept playing and playing and playing, coming back every once in awhile to see what the game has added or what has changed. Since 2016 this game has gone through many changes in gameplay balance, added a diverse array of killers some iconic and original with many perks and maps that allow for these abilities to shine and perks to be used to great advantage. Despite Dead by Daylight's downright basic gameplay loop the game still has managed to stay relevant and interesting where many other would be Dead by Daylight killers or copy cats go and fade off into the unknown or failing to capture the same success that Dead by Daylight

Resident Evil 8 Village Review: A Resident Evil Greatest Hits Anthology

I have been a dedicated fan of the Resident Evil franchise ever since a few of my friends brought over their copy of Resident Evil 2 for the Nintendo 64. I started off not knowing how to operate the tank controls to eventually mastering it and making it past the very first area of the game and then eventually grew to beating the game multiple times and unlocking the special bonus weapons.  I would say I've played almost all the entries into the Resident Evil franchise save a few like RE:Survivor, Outbreak File 2 and the very VERY first RE game from the PS1 days.  What I've loved about the franchise is the slow burn of tension and horror along the very iconic set pieces and background music such as the 2nd half of the Dead Factory area in RE2 "The Marshaling Yard" perfectly encapsulating the industrial, futuristic mystery and horror of Umbrella's experiments and haunting atmosphere. Almost every game has something so unique about it that it can stand out in anyone

Two-Cents Piece: Why I cannot recommend Destiny 2 Pt.1

Whenever I think of Destiny 2 I often think of games like Borderlands and Red Dead Online. Borderlands because of the variety of guns and the gun loot. Red Dead Online for the grind of roles like Collector, Bounty Hunter and Trader.  Starting with Borderlands. Ever since the first game it was apparent that this game had a massive amount of guns that would make any other shooter blush with how many guns it has. Assault Rifles, Sub-Machine Guns, Light Machine Guns, Shotguns, Sniper Rifles, Rocket Launchers, Grenades, Shields, Class Item Mods and alien guns! You finish side quests you get new weapons, complete main story missions and you get new weapons. You could play this game for an hour and depending on what you did for an hour you could almost be over-stocked with guns, so many guns you either know to keep and sell them for better weapons and gear or keep them for possible different load outs with a variety of weapons at your disposal.  With Red Dead Online, the grind, the online mul

Two-Cents Piece: Why Some Horror Movies are Boring

The best episode of the entire original Twilight Zone series, in my mind, is "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet". It stars William Shatner playing a man who recently had a mental breakdown on a different flight and is struggling to stay on a flight with his wife and combating his anxiety that he feels while on the plane. Everything seems to be okay as he seems relaxed, he's making it through the flight okay until he eventually looks outside his window where he has a view of the entire wing of the plane. Out of the darkness in the stormy night comes this mysterious creature that curiously wonders around the wing until the creature spots William Shatner's character watching him as he walks around on the wing. After a little bit the monster begins to mess around with the plane's engine on the wing of the plane and William Shatner's character is helpless as he can only watch the monster get closer and closer to sabotaging the engine and struggle as he tries to convince eve
